shining eyes / eyebrow & eyelashes

I have just moved to Tokyo and visited Shining Eyes for my first eyelash lift and for an eyebrow wax. Firstly the salon is beautiful and so relaxing and Kasumi-san is so kind and welcoming. I speak no Japanese and was nervous about the treatments - she spent half an hour explaining the process and confirming exactly what I wanted before getting started. During the treatment she was so gentle I fell asleep. The results are perfect, my eyebrows are the best they have looked. Thank you Kasumi-san, you will be my regular salon while I live in Tokyo!

I will be coming back for sure. I don’t speak any Japanese but that wasn’t a problem. What we couldn’t figure out we translated. She was so kind and patient. I got my eyebrows waxed, lip waxed, a compression boot foot/leg massage, and under eye patches. Next Time I’ll do all that and try the eyelash perming. I loved the studio and it was so relaxing. The waxing was very gentle and not painful. She really took her time to confirm what eye brow share I wanted and I can tell a lot of love and care went into the whole process. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing salon. The treatments are amazing (best lashes ever), the owner Kasumi-san is an absolute delight (and loves to speak in English), plus the salon is beautiful and so relaxing. I usually fall asleep in the chair under a snuggly blanket!

Visited in December 2024. A stylish private salon with floor-to-ceiling glass windows nestled in a residential area off Awashima Street. Eyelash technician Ms. Sendayama carefully proposes eyelash designs while considering each person's eye shape and growth pattern. Even now, more than three weeks after the treatment, the natural curl is still maintained, eliminating the need for mascara. Thanks to this, I can swim in pools and the ocean during my trip with peace of mind (eyelash extensions would fall out). I was able to enjoy my trip comfortably. Furthermore, I was touched that she took pity on my overgrown eyebrows (which I had neglected for a while) and quickly trimmed them for me. I realized the importance of eyebrow care... [Addendum] Visited in April 2025. Revisited a month and a half after my previous visit. Because I had been rubbing my eyes unconsciously during the spring due to pollen allergies and yellow dust, and also because it was the time of year when eyelashes are shedding, the natural eyelashes on one eye had become shorter than the other. So, they used different techniques/designs on my right and left eyes, taking into account the condition of my eyelashes. I'm glad I was able to go before my long trip.
