Sina-san is the most amazing manicurist I’ve had work on my nails. This was my second time at her salon, and she did a wonderful job. She is patient and very attentive. She is an artist. So careful and detailed. She’s also a lot of fun to talk to. I will always go to her when in Japan.

However, a warm voice answered the intercom, and I immediately felt at ease. The room had two reclining chairs for treatments, and they only serve up to two clients at a time. It truly felt like a hidden gem of a private salon, tucked away in the buildings, away from the hustle and bustle of Kichijoji. In reality, I was the only one receiving treatment, as I was just switching places with the previous client. I was soothed by the view of Kichijoji town from a height and angle I don't usually see, as well as the charming interior decor. Normally, I don't wear nail polish because it bothers me when cooking, and I only enjoy it as part of my grooming for special occasions or during the summer sandal season. This was my first time getting an eyelash perm. I'm satisfied with the treatment, but due to childcare, I've had a long break from beauty treatments and my routine is quite inconsistent, so I can't really compare it to other salons or services. Therefore, I've given it four stars. The lash lift (eyelash perm) gave me full, natural-looking curls. I don't need an eyelash curler, and my eyes look bright even without makeup, which makes me so happy! It's so easy to apply mascara right away; I regret not doing it sooner! On one eye, there were some areas where the eyelashes were cut short due to insufficient replacement of the eyelash curler's rubber pad. The stylist regretted that the result would have been more beautiful if the lashes had been their original length, and they thoroughly explained my usual eyelash care routine (hair growth and treatments). During the procedure, I felt at ease thanks to their careful explanations and advice, such as maintaining a slightly open eye position for a natural curl. For the pedicure, when choosing a design from samples to match my purpose and fashion style, they quickly showed me photos of past treatments, respecting my personal preferences and intuition, and providing appropriate advice and encouragement. I was worried about whether I could come in time for removal at the salon, so I chose gel nails that I could remove myself and that were less damaging to my natural nails. They generally last about a month, but they advised that wearing narrow-toed shoes or tight-fitting shoes can cause the gel to come off due to pressure and friction on the small surface area of ​​the little toe and ring finger. Therefore, they recommended wearing shoes or sandals with open toes or a roomy design. Before two weeks had passed since my treatment, I had to wear tight athletic shoes, and the gel nails on my right little toe and ring finger had disappeared without me noticing (tears). All five toes on my right foot are still intact and beautiful. I decided to visit this salon because of a sudden overseas trip where I had to wear sandals on the beach. We chatted about my travels, and the stylist was incredibly kind and thorough in explaining the treatment and beauty tips, even to a middle-aged woman like me who's become quite jaded about beauty. The treatment time flew by. Of course, their knowledge, experience, and skill are top-notch, but I think their trustworthy personalities are also what makes this salon so popular and makes customers want to return. I'd like to visit again, perhaps even setting aside a "monthly beauty day" for self-maintenance. Taking care of yourself not only makes you beautiful, but it also energizes you from the inside out, and the positive impact on your daily mood is beyond imagination.
