IN MENE nail & eyelash salon

I had an amazing experience with this young cute girl who is YoYo ( She speaks Chinese)—I would absolutely give five stars. As a traveler visiting Japan, I had never tried booking an appointment at a local salon before, so the process felt a bit overwhelming at first. I spent quite a while trying different methods, including using translation tools online, but nothing felt completely reliable. And I really wanted to get to done badly. However, when I tried to walking( not capable to speak on the phone) into the salon to make a appointment and I was incredibly lucky to be able to book an appointment for the very last minute and next day. I was honestly so happy and relieved. From start to finish, the entire experience exceeded my expectations. I truly want to share this experience with other travelers who might be in a similar situation as I was. If you’re unsure about booking or worried about the language barrier, this is proof that it can work out beautifully. I feel very lucky to have found this place. One small note: The location can be a bit tricky to find, so be prepared to look carefully. But it’s 100% worth it 😄Just be patient and keep looking!

Beautiful work with lots of attention to detail. The lady that did my nails was super nice and accommodating, as I walked in with no reservation but was immediately served. She was very sweet and communicated with Google translate. Very comfortable, clean salon and definitely worth the affordable price. I will be coming back on my next trip to Tokyo!

A little difficult to find: I entered between the Niki No Kashi and Masijoa, and went all the way bacn til I saw a little ad tent for IN MENE on the left. Everyone was incredibly friendly, I worked with Mami (まみ) and we both used translating apps to understand each other (just asked if I was there for foot (pedicure), color, shape, length, if I needed the bathroom). Foreigner friendly, but you need to make the effort to find them, book online if you can! I got a pedicure, short, square, white gel, and it was quick! Not a traditional pedicure, no footbath or soaking or anything, just shaping, cleaning, and the polish.

If you're in the Ueno area, I highly recommend this salon for a great service for very reasonable prices! A lot of nail salons in Tokyo charge upwards of 100 USD for a gel manicure, and this one was the only one that I found starting at the 30 USD range. Depending on your visit day, you can book with a coupon for a discount, which is what I did on Hot Pepper Beauty. I got a basic gel manicure without a design and it took about an hour. She checked with me before each step to make sure I was getting what I wanted, and I'm very satisfied with the service. There were more creative design options which you can look through, but I'm not allowed to get them because of my job so I went with a very natural and translucent nude shade. The storefront is the only challenge to get to, as it's hidden on the inside hall of a shaded row of business, and on the 3rd floor. Once inside, it's a clean and bright room that drowns out the sounds of the busy streets below. The staff are also nice and seem to speak basic English. I don't know which staff did my nails by name, but if it was you who took the August 6th, 2025, 14:00 gel A-set client, you did a good job!

The nail stylist was very attentive and kind, and my nails turned out really cute. The place is a bit hard to find and it’s not the most stylish interior but it’s a good price for a good service.
