I’ve been coming to this salon for years, which is why this review is so disappointing to write. Overall, they’ve always done a good job, and that’s why I’ve remained a loyal customer. Today, I had an appointment with Nick, and the experience completely changed my opinion. I showed him a reference picture and asked for a leopard print design on two nails. As he was working, I questioned a few things, but he kept telling me to wait until the end because he would finish everything later. I trusted the process. By the end, it looked nothing like the reference photo. The leopard print was just uniform dots on a nude pink base. I politely apologized and told him I didn’t like those two nails. Instead of simply redoing them, he immediately started arguing that I should’ve said something sooner and kept insisting he was going to remove my entire set. I had already been in the salon for hours because I also got a pedicure. I wasn’t asking him to redo everything I was literally just asking him to fix two nails. When I pointed out that I showed a photo and it didn’t match the photo, he actually agreed, but then said, “I’m not a computer,” and that I should’ve said something earlier. I’m not a computer or a nail tech, so how was I supposed to know the finished result would look completely different from the reference picture when I was trusting the professional to recreate it? I also asked to speak to a manager, and he refused. I told him that if another client didn’t like a nail, he’d just redo that nail. He responded, “No, nobody acts like you,” and continued insisting he was going to take off my entire set. For context, I wasn’t yelling, raising my voice, or being rude. I was calm the entire time and simply asked for two nails to be fixed. So I’m not sure what he meant by the “Nobody acts like you” comment. Ironically, after all his arguing, he ended up redoing the two nails anyway. The final nails looked much better. Still not like the photo but acceptable enough because I just wanted to leave at that point. The customer service was unacceptable. Nick has done my nails before without any issues, so I’m not sure why he was so hostile this time. This salon is pretty expensive. I paid $175 overall. Customers shouldn’t have to argue over a simple correction or be denied a manager when they ask for one.
I've been going to Brian for almost 2 years, and he's the best! He always takes his time and makes my nails look beautiful. I've never been disappointed with his work. He's even been a lifesaver by fitting me in for last-minute appointments when he can. I recommend!
Brian is absolutely amazing! He is so talented, detail-oriented, and always makes sure my nails come out perfect. He takes his time and truly cares about his work, and I always leave loving my nails even more than I expected. The quality, precision, and overall experience are always incredible. If you’re looking for a nail tech who is professional, talented, and genuinely passionate about what he does, Brian is definitely the one to go to. I can’t recommend him enough! 💅✨
I’m really disappointed with my experience here. I got a regular pedicure and the polish was streaky, uneven, and you could clearly see the different coats. It started chipping the same day. Honestly, I could have done a better pedicure myself at home. I also got a manicure, and the woman completely destroyed my cuticles. As shown in the picture, this was done 4 days ago and I am still in pain. My cuticles have been bleeding and still hurt. I’ve never had this happen from a manicure before. The work was sloppy and painful, and I would not recommend this salon. I paid too much for this experience and would not recommend this salon.
I’ve been here about five times since I moved to the area and I’m always in love with the results! No matter what inspiration photo I show them they are always able to execute to make my nails look exactly as I wanted them to look. I went today and Ben did my nails. I think moving forward I will have to make appointment specifically with him because he has now become my go to Guy!! He took his time and did an amazing job. 10 out of 10 recommend no matter where I move in New York I will always travel back to this nail salon because they never fail to give me the results I asked for. I saw some previous reviews of a woman claiming that they reuse their disposable footies and toe separators used during pedicures which is absolutely false because I see them take them from a drawer that are in a package and brand new; unused! Additionally, claims that they try to upsell you for their pedicures, would not surprise me or annoy me- why wouldn’t they! If you have the money to do the upgraded pedicures, it is very much worth it. My pedicures are always upgraded to include the massage which I fully enjoy, and they take their time to hit all the pressure points on the bottom of my feet that matter.
