Mimo Bar | Eyelash & brow | Long Island City

I came to the new Mimo Bar in LIC for custom eyelash extensions, and I’m so happy with the results. They really took the time to design a lash set that fit my eyes instead of using the same style on everyone. The lashes are lightweight, comfortable, and exactly what I was hoping for. The studio is clean, relaxing, and everyone was so friendly. Definitely one of the best places for eyelash extensions in Long Island City

I dont understand how the google reviews and photos can look that dissimilar to what I encountered IRL. I went to get a hybrid set and told him I wanted a set referencing some of the more natural looking anime sets they posted themselves. This is what I got - clumpy spider legs with lashes nothing like the thin fluttery lashes you see in the photos. My eyes also burned the entire time this was the craziest experience would not recommend at all. They did not even have a bed, just a huge lazyboy chair so my neck and eyes hurt the entire time. The manager was reasonable to talk to and offered many solutions to fix and remove it after the fact which was the only bright side but that does not change the fact this male lash tech has no idea what he’s doing and the facilities and materials they’re using are subpar. They cite all the popular videos and reviews from their main branch in manhattan but if you look through the reviews there are also a lot of bad ones so just make your own judgement… Followup edit: see how insane - the lash tech glued extensions perpendicular to my actual lashes? wild.
