If you haven't been to Lash Out Bar on 38th and Broadway yet, here's your push. We sat down with Mirella, the owner, and the short version is this: she's been in Astoria since the early 90s, she already had a location on Long Island doing well, and when the waitlist for lash extensions kept stretching weeks out, she looked at her own neighborhood instead of chasing Manhattan. She's turned down offers to move the business to the city. Astoria was never the backup plan. Lash extensions are the core service, done by a team that's been largely the same since the doors opened, and a clientele to match. Brows round out the menu. What stands out is the consistency: when the same clients keep coming back for six years, something's working. Worth noting for cost-conscious locals: Mirella posts discounts up to 50% off regularly to their Instagram stories, and she'll honor a screenshot even if it's months old. No fine print. She's upfront about it, lash extensions are a luxury, the economy is harder, and she'd rather keep her regulars than watch them drift. New this month: a licensed massage therapist (also an Astoria local) is joining the team, adding therapeutic, sports, prenatal, and facial massage to the menu. One address, more reasons to book. Book an appointment if you're even thinking about it a little!

I really appreciate that they were able to take me in last minute, however when the lash lift and tint was done. I noticed my right eye is more curled then the left. I let the technician know she said it’s because I have longer lashes on my right, so I let it be because I believed her. I followed instructions in not using any water/make up or rub my eyes for 24 hours. However the next day I definitely noticed more of a difference in the curve I was not able to let them know since I was out of country and it’s been two weeks now and I’m not a fan in how one stands out more then the other 😔. I really like how the right eye looks but Don’t be me, continue to speak up if you notice something’s wrong before you leave.

I came by this lash out bar through a recommendation of a friend. She has been telling me about this place for forever. I have to say I should have come sooner. I admire everyone else’s hard work, but this place is by far top tier. My lashes stay on for so long. Longer than the last place I been too. I come 2-3 weeks in between fill ins. My lashes are super cute. And I get compliments all the time. The glue is fine. Which is what makes it stay longer. Thank you ladies.

I had a 4pm appointment there today. Apparently, while I was getting my lashes done, someone came in and had a 4:30pm appointment. I started to feel like the person that was doing my lashes was rushing. It appeared OK when she finished at 4:35pm However, it is now 9 PM And I already had several lashes fall out. I did a hybrid set which I’ve done at another place, and they took an hour placing it in. I did not touch them nor did I wash my lashes. I am highly disappointed considering that I just spent $120 plus tip!
