I was so disappointed with the service I received here when I came in on Saturday, 23 May. I got Gel X done, which I’ve had several times before without issues, but since I was visiting Melbourne, I decided to come here because it was close to my Airbnb and had good reviews. During the appointment, I could already tell the quality wasn’t great. The nails looked nothing like the inspiration picture and the application itself was poor quality, thick, uneven, and not smooth at all. To make matters worse, two nails fell off that same night and another came off the next morning. As someone who regularly gets Gel X and has had sets last up to 6 weeks before, I was shocked that the set I got done at Grace and Joy Nail Salon didn’t even last 12 hours. I came back the next day asking for a removal and refund because I was unhappy with both the quality and service. The lady who did my nails refused to refund me and instead offered to redo them. However, since I’m not from Melbourne and was leaving the next day, I didn’t feel comfortable getting another service done by her in case the same thing happened again. If they fell off again, I wouldn’t have been able to come back for another removal or refund. She repeatedly refused the refund and kept saying that because the service had already been done, I couldn’t get my money back which made no sense considering the nails were already falling off within hours. If you provide a service, it should at least be up to standard. To make matters worse, after finally getting my refund, I still didn’t receive the removal service that I had requested. I ended up peeling the nails off myself, and the quality was so poor that they came off easily without any issue at all. The whole interaction was uncomfortable and embarrassing, especially having to argue for a refund in front of other customers in the salon. I eventually did receive my refund, but only after repeatedly explaining myself and arguing my case. Overall, really disappointing experience. I would not recommend getting your nails done here if you expect quality service and professionalism.

I have been coming here for months but after today will not return. I came in for a pedicure. While scaling my feet the nail tech took a chunk out of my foot that was excruciating and immediately started bleeding. I am now limping and unable to put any pressure on that foot. Despite being very apologetic, she charged me full price of $60 without even the offer of a discount. Actually unbelievable! Now you’ve lost a loyal customer and secured a one star review.

I had an amazing experience at Grace & Joy! The Staffs were friendly and is always down for a good chat. The staffs really do care about their quality of service and ensure that you're comfortable. I had my manicure and pedicure done and i am inlove with my french nails! Their white shellac colour is vibrant and glossy, and doesn't look like you've got a liquid paper on your toes. Would highly recommend if you're around the area! The owner and staffs has a passion in providing the best service for the customers. It's definitely my go to now.

I went to G&J after a recommendation from a friend, and I now love getting my nails done there! It’s such a lovely vibe, and all the staff are so amazing at the work they do! Huyen does my nails, and her nail art is so talented! Amazing place 🥰 , highly recommend

I had my nails done 3 week ago! The nail technician did really well ! They last for ages even i do lots of housework ! The girls here are so friendly and nice . Highly recommend it !! Definitely come back.
